Penalty stroke or not? What would you have called?

This video dates us back to a period of time before video-ref, where doubtful situations were impossible to solve correctly and teams complaining to the umpire was more common… In this case, we watch a game between Argentina and Australia where after a penalty corner defence, a confusing situation happened while trying to capture the rebound and the umpire called a penalty stroke.
