Penalty stroke or goalkeeper save? Are we overusing the referral?
This action took place during the 2014 Commonwealth Games Final between the Hockeyroos and Team GB. Jodie Kenny was in charge of taking this shootout while Maddie Hinch was the goalkeeper.
Kenny dragged the ball wide away while Hinch stretched out to steal it away however, Kenny went down to the ground. At first glance, it looks like a stroke but the play was reviewed anyways… Are we overusing the referral?
