Maryland University Field Hockey: The best deflection goal of the year?
Maryland University Field Hockey – Take a this wonderful goal that was scored by the Maryland University Field Hockey team, which has all the reasons for becoming the goal of the year. This amazing backwards-aerial-deflection was scored by Welma Luus for the United States Division I team of the Maryland Terps.

This university takes pride in being one of the most successful athletic programs in the United States collegiate system.
About the Maryland University Field Hockey team: this team has won 9 NCAA National Championships and has been the runner-up in 3 occassions. They have reached the semi-final stage, or NCAA Tournament Final Fours, in more than 17 occasions and have been one of the most dominant teams in the history of hockey in the United States of America. It was established as a varsity port in 1974 and has produced one of the best players in the history of hockey in America: Katie Bam (O’Donnell).
The stadium:
Maryland plays in their home stadium at theField Hockey & Lacrosse Complex in the university campus. It was inaugurated in 2003 and can host 2000 fans and has been the host stadium to many national tournaments as well as international test matches.
