Favourite Hockey Players: Teun de Nooijer (NED)
Teun de Nooijer was born in 1976 in Holland and is one of the greatest hockey players in the history of our sport. With his country he became a two time Olympic champion, in 1996 and in 2000. He holds a record of 453 international caps, a World Cup championship (1998) and a EuroHockey Nations Championship, in 2007.
He was selected three time as the FIH Player of the Year (2003, 2004 & 2006) and two times as the EHL’s MVP (2009 & 2013).
Currently he is the director of his own hockey academy in Holland, the Teun de Nooijer Academy, where he shares his knowledge, experience and passion for the sport.
