A few points on how to make a flick pass
These are just 5 points on how to perform the overhead pass in a correct way. If you had to coach this technique to your players, what other points would you teach?
1. Place the ball in a position where the shaft of the stick will be able to have enough angle to get under it: some players leave the ball in front of the line of the left foot which allows the stick to reach out and organically push the ball up, and some players leave the ball behind which makes them overcompensate with the body the position in relation with the ball in order to allow the shaft have the proper angle.
2. The right leg should start holding the bodyweight which gets naturally transferred forward during the rotation of the body.
3. The back knee should be lower than the front knee.
4. The upper body rotation should be coordinated with the bodyweight transfer and it must include the rotation of the back, shoulders, hips and arms.
5. The eyes should be kept on the ball at all times.
