A drill to improve your speed, accuracy and scanning

This drill will put your speed, passing accuracy and scanning skills to the test. In the video, the two players are using Smart Goals which gives them the signal pointing out which gate they have to clear by sending a push pass through.

If you don’t have the technology of Smart Goals, you can still do this drill by setting up different coloured cones creating the gates. What you can do is either to have the coach calling out the colour of the gate that you have to clear or giving this task to the last player who release the ball. This will force the ball carrier to lift the head up. You can increase the speed and use it to improve your fitness too!
