3 vs 3 + outlets: a drill to promote the ball possession and movement off the ball
The offensive objectives of the exercise are:
– To promote receiving into empty spaces.
– To work the pre-scanning to facilitate decision-making.
– To encourage the creation of free spaces by the players without the ball.
– To create 2v1 situation in open spaces.
The defensive objectives are:
– To develop personal marking from behind which prevents the turn of the attacking player.
– To encourage communication among peers to set the marking in defence.
– To work on the anticipation through good placement with respect to the opponent and ball.
